As early as her third year in grammar school, Joice began to live her life as an artist. It all began with simple drawings of trees. Her classmates commented how her trees resembled the real trees outside the classroom window. Her teacher called her an artist and from that day on, this was how she thought of herself.
Joice's work as a designer began in high school. The instructor would pass commission design projects on to her such as designing greeting cards, wallpaper and portraits. After graduating, her efforts turned to free lance design projects and designing her own line of greeting cards for sale. Her fine art pieces have been exhibited in local galleries around the Upper Valley in New Hampshire and Vermont. Three mural works were painted including one at the Cornish, NH US postal office.
In addition to free lance work, for the past eight years, Joice has designed rugs and textiles for an international company.
